CALA CALA and the cave paintings of 2500 years ago

Many indigenous communities, this Sept. 14 made a pilgrimage to what is now the sanctuary of the Lord Lagunas or Tata Lagunas. This shrine today is the focal point of several native sets (Sicuris, Lichiwayos, Jula Jula and others) that pilgrims from distant places including my community Pucara Grande, to receive the blessing of the Lord of Lagunas. Not only Indians, also of city dwellers who come to ask that their wishes become a reality, for this, reproduced in miniature the order, a house, a car and others, all this is done with faith to the Lord Lagunas.
around 2.5 km. of this shrine are the paintings that are older than 2500 years BC This indicates that Cala Cala (Qala Qala) was an ancient Ritual Center. Cave paintings that exist in this archaeological site, showing drawings of camels, even shown in the drawings, a white flame, a puma and men who drive fire.
These paintings constitute a legacy through her, we do know, that was a center Cala Cala ritual of great importance in raising the flames. Cala Cala by these features is in most Illa or Waka. Each Indian family that had a herd of llamas had an Illa, and this was the subject of ritual that calls for the Indian was a whole, since this animal provided meat, wool, oil, leather and fuel.

Through evangelization undertaken in the colony, establishing a church today entire pilgrimage is to this shrine. Today, devotees throng including indigenous to enter this sanctuary was forgotten the ritual center of their ancestors.

In the images shown represent a Jukumari the Andean bear, tissues of indigenous women today continue to amaze all and sundry. The Sanctuary of the Lord of Lagoons is located approximately 40 minutes by bus from the city of Oruro, today is connected by a paved road and a dirt road links from this shrine to the rock paintings.
