This October, the festival was held religious devotion to the Virgen del Rosario, patron saint of miners Huanuni, with a traditional parade in Huanuni population with the participation of more than thirty of folkloric groups, which also included sets native indigenous communities surrounding this population.
Huanuni, is the capital of Tin, ranks first in the production of tin in the country and Latin America. Huanuni Mining Company, under State currently has over 4500 employees, resulting from the tragic events of October 2006. After entry, the participating teams and the people of Huanuni move en masse to the population of Sale and Poopo Middle Township, located about 3 km in the town of Sale and Media is the home of the Virgin of Rosario and where an official Mass, attended by all priostes and devotees. In this population Kochalas arrive early, that sell chicha Cochabamba to visitors who want to join this event in devotion to the Patron Saint of Miners Huanuni.
Huanuni, is only 50 km. the city of Oruro, linked by a paved road and from late 2009 traverse through the heart of the population (Maple Avenue), the international road Diagonal Jaime Mendoza ", linking the ports of the Pacific and Atlantic ocean. We are confident that this route will bring more progress to Bolivian Tin Capital and indigenous communities who live around them.
